I was at the majestic Heiwa Heavens the Resort at Jaipur. (Please read full review in https://exatraveller.wordpress.com/2016/09/15/heiwa-heaven-resort-a-peaceful-resort/).
I have already talked about the great hospitality, services, food and my stay at the hotel in my earlier posts. Here I will talk about one other activity which really had me engrossed completely and pamper myself to the fullest. Yes dear, I am talking about the Spa at the hotel.
Paradise Woods, the spa at Heiwa Heavens is located adjacent to pool. It’s the first tent in the tented accommodation area which has been converted into spa rooms with bamboo wall partitions and divided into reception, and massage rooms. The reception area is minimalistic simple, and they have two massage rooms where two masseurs, one male and one female provide therapies to the guests.
Just as I landed in the hotel on the first day I went to the spa area to relax down and get rid of all the travel tiredness. You see, I was on the Delhi Jaipur highway for over 6 hours.
The spa at Heiwa Heavens provides various kinds of treatments in traditional ways. They offer the best of Ayurvedic/Western treatments and medicinal massages that are highly effective and beneficial. Special health and beauty care is also available to treat modern day maladies like stress, obesity, weight loss and hair loss.
I wanted to get a Deep Tissue massage but the consultant at the center looking at my medical history advised me against that. She advised me to go in for the more relaxing Swedish massage because of the lighter pressure applied during the Swedish method.
Swedish massage is based on the Western concepts of the anatomy of a human body and is different from the Asian style of energy work. Swedish massage is the most common and best-known type of massage in the West.
So there I was, changed into spa costume and lying on my back on the table. The therapist lubricated my skin with massage oil and performed many massage strokes. These strokes warmed up my muscle tissue, releasing tension and gradually breaking up muscle “knots”.
I was getting a complete detoxifying and distressing treatment to my body by two trained hands, followed by steam. This 45-minute therapy with medicated oils with 2 hands working in perfect unison, left me totally re-energized. After about 45 minutes I was led into the steam room. After about 5 minutes as I sweated a lot and couldn’t bear the steam heat any longer, I was directed to the shower room where I had a refreshing shower.
It was a fantabulous experience. My body felt like what I used to feel during my childhood. As I came out of the tent, the scorching sun tried to taste my rejuvenated body, but after this amazing treatment, even sun was not that troublesome to my rejuvenated body and soul.
Overall I was thoroughly satisfied and I returned to my room and then to join other members of my team for a tasty lunch. Heiwa Heavens also has a saloon facility where one can go for pedicure, manicure, facials or make-ups.
