Punjabi Bagh club road is the latest buzz on the Delhi party scene with the recent openings of a few glittering lounges and bars. Raftaar High Speed Bar & Lounge – A Luxury Lounge & bar is one of them and has become the talk of the town with a lightning speed. Speed thrill the youth of today and they are crazy for speed – whether its bikes or cars, or the internet speed on their smartphones. And at Raftaar the décor, ambiance, nightlife, service and everything else is so action packed that the client gets transported to a world of fine dining and clubbing in a zippy.
The décor is just amazing and already the neighbouring places are feeling the blowing dust from the tracks. The moment you enter the lounge you get engulfed with a new energy. You get completely detached from the real world and indulge into a treasured world of dance and entertainment with lifestyle experience. It has three levels and each one gives you a different experience of its own. Private pool dinning @ Open Terrace is soon going to be an added attraction.
Raftaar has exactly what you need for a bull blown party and it comes bigger, bolder and stronger with it’s state-of-the-art sound walls, fantastic lighting and sound system reverberating with gut-busting music ranging from national and international top charts, house, electronic and percussion. The staple entertainment also boasts of Live Acts – Concerts and Live Bands that are edgy, raw and play with bone-jarring enthusiasm promising a night that’s erotic and high profile.
Well that’s not all. The food and drinks menu is fantabulous and has been designed keeping in mind the love that Delhites have for food. And the quality of delicious food serving speed is definitely going to make a person come back soon.
During our review session at Raftaar, we feasted on the exotic range of mocktails and delicious veggie food. The bar serves some amazing cocktails which a bar is supposed to, but the mocktails were also amazing and we kept on sipping them during the entire session that we were there. We tried a few milk shakes, Paan Mojito, and an Orange mocktail.
The Paan mojito was fantastic, the paan flavours were so original – I just wished that we had it at the end of our meals.
Coming to the food section, to start with we tried Falafel with Hummous and Pita, and Veggie Tacos in the continental section, Cauliflower with Ginger Garlic sauce in the Chinese section, Bhutta Kebab from the Tandoor, and Paneer 65 from our own desi section.
The Bhutta kebab deserves a special mention here, I was thoroughly satisfied with the preparations and the presentations. The sweet corn’s natural flavours were intact and the crispiness of the corn made it an absolutely lip smacking dish.
As is a normal routine for us during a bloggers meet at a restaurant – we bypassed the mains. Instead we ordered veggie pizza – a Paneer tikka flavour and loved it. We already had the Paneer 65 – but the paneer flavours on the pizza was delicious because of a perfect marinating dip, which made it a great dish to satisfy our palate.
As usual – you must be knowing it by now that every member on our blog team has big sweet teeth. So we wanted to relish the sweets that we were going to order now. But, I must say here that – we were slightly disappointed with the dessert section of the menu at Raftaar. There was not much to offer.
The regular Brownie is being served at almost every restaurant, so it also was not a dessert I would have ordered. But that was the only dessert which was looking pleasing on the next table, so we went for it, named, Alive by Brownie Sundae. It sure was served in a fancy manner and was also a good eat. I love Tiramisu, but the deconstruction of Tiramisu – didn’t appeal to me much, so I went in for the chocolate flavoured ice cream instead.
Well, overall it was a lightening experience that we had at Raftaar and I guess we should come back here for a proper meal again riding on our super fast Lamborghini soon and see if they can match its super amazing raftaar with their speedy service and tasty food.
The last thing I wished they had at Raftaar was – more dishes in the veggie section. Guys – if reading this please add on more entries in your veggie section – to make me run like Hussain Bolt and come to Raftaar again.
