Feel like Sherlock Holmes at Mystery Rooms

The team from exatraveller.com finally made it to the Mystery Rooms at Rajouri Garden, New Delhi after postponing plans for quite some time. They have come to the mystery rooms for a personal experience and enjoy solving the latest mystery Abduction.

The team reached the center located at Rajouri Garden in a basement of a huge building in the marble market. Only a day before the team has finished their exams and they were really excited to try out something new and exciting.

But as they noticed the very very simple entrance, a unknown fear engulfed their minds. Even the reception area was very basic with a pool table and a few sofas. The place was nice and clean, and the friendly staff briefed them about the nice mysteries, games and rules and the different concepts adapted.

As the team registered themselves for the games, they did a reckie on the area and saw two mystery rooms on either side. The Hurt Locker, the Abduction, the Lockout and the Cabin in the Woods – these were the four rooms.

Mystery Rooms is Delhi NCR’s first real life escape game. Mystery Rooms is a unit of Kickass adventures with a unique concept where this ‘Room Escape’ game grants you 1 hour to solve puzzle, find hidden clue and ESCAPE!  Mystery Rooms is a challenging race against the clock where the sole motive is to get yourself out of a mysterious room before time kicks you! Imagine being locked in a thrill space with your team and you have exact 60 minutes to use logic, solve puzzle, find hint, and prove the power of team work to pave your path to freedom.

The experience is very unique and thrilling, but not at all dangerous and it does not contain any horror element. It requires no physical exertion and is suitable for ages 10-77. It is an exciting team-building activity for corporate and a fulfilling fun experience for couples, friends and families.

Mystery rooms currently offer following games:

The Hurt Locker: A bomb defuse challenge

Cabin in the wood: The murder mystery

Mystery Rooms started in September 2014 when its founders, three adventure enthusiasts and gaming geeks; Shikhir Bhutani, Prateek Panjwani and Sapna Bhutani, who bring their expertise in tech, architecture and human psychology to create an atmosphere of pure rush and sometimes, terror, came together with an idea to start this unique concept in the capital. The whole idea was based on the desire to bring something refreshing in the monotonous city life and was an instant hit.

Presently, there are 4 exciting games in the Rajouri Garden branch and another branch in Gurgaon with 2 challenging missions and a dedicated area for team building games. Mystery Rooms also has its center in Kolkata and recently launched one centre in Chandigarh.

The Team aims at releasing at least one new track every 2 months and opening at least 6 new centers in 2016. They are welcoming offers from all the cities and working on collaborating with more people to grow the Mystery Rooms family.

As far as the pricing goes, they have kept it very affordable and it costs just INR 500 – INR 1,000 per person depending on the size of the team, and it also varies on the day of the week basis.

Our team (of 4 persons) chose to play Abduction and thoroughly enjoyed solving the game. It was a mystery where the team was required to use brains very much. By using the help button during the game they solved it It in the prescribed time.

The theme of the game was that they were kidnapped and the kidnappers were asking for ransom to release them from the president. The kidnappers were away for an hour and the team had to rescue themselves. The game required a bit of physical activities with a lot of mental strength and involvement. They were tied to handcuffs and had to find the keys and clues to release themselves from the captivity.

At the end they escaped from the captivity and solved the mystery. It was fun being behaving like Sherlock Holmes and solving the mystery. Overall it was a fun filled place where every paisa you spend id utilized fully.

So after spending one great hour at solving Abduction, they returned back satisfied and happy with the achievement of solving the game.
