Recently Delhi saw the launch of VIVO V5Plus – a new Camera Phone.
It’s great to see the Plus version of the V5 has upgrades and a more powerful processor.
V5 Plus has a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 2,0GHz Octra-core SoC as compared to the MediaTek MT6750 of the earlier version V5. The SnapDragon 650 is a little better, and a faster processor than the MT6750.
GPU of the Vivo V5 plus is faster; Adreno 506 GPU and it runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmellow. Has 4 GB RAM on board and 64 GB internal memory.
The phone comes with a dual front camera for better photographing opportunities and the front camera is a 20 MP Sony IMX376
Phone’s camera and sound system are the only good thing about this model, but still then the price tag of INR 27,980 is too high – why should I buy it for just the camera features and for images that I cant use for high quality enlargements.
In general, the features available with V5 Plus are available with a lot of other low priced phones in the market.
But V5 Plus has good looks, speaker at bottom, and has a micro USB and a normal 3.5 mm audio jack. Finger print sensor also works fine in this phone.
The device measures 153.8×75.5×755 mm and is just 156 gms in weight and has a 5.5 inch full HD display with 2.5d curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has quite sharp display and lively colours. Battery is 3055 mAh and super fast charging. Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS are other features
The only plus point is the front camera – 20 mp plus 8 mp sensors; Sony IMX 376, and has f2.0 aperture and 5p lens. Good camera, captures a lot of details and the rear camera is also good with 16 MP and a LED flash t give the moon light effect.
Note: The feature is based on information collected during the launch event and also from specifications sheets – No hands on reporting of the actual device.
