Chinese OEM Coolpad  is known for its superior quality and competitive pricing. It recently launched its latest smartphone in India, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite. This new entrant in the market is surely going to give sleepless nights to all the competitors. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite is priced at Rs. 8199, and will be available in Gold and Grey colours from 21st March 2017 exclusively on Amazon India.

The Note 5 Lite is the latest version of Coolpad’s popular Note 5 series of smartphones and has 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, the quad-core MediaTek MT6745 processor, Mali-T720 GPU and a 2500mAh battery.

We were at the launch event and heard Syed Tajuddin, CEO, Coolpad India saying, “We are excited to launch the latest addition to the Note series and the successor of the widely popular Note 5. Coolpad Note 5 received overwhelming response from customers and emerged as a disruptive product in the market. With the launch of Note 5 Lite, we are again reinforcing our commitment to make technology available to everyone at a great price and won’t comprise on best in class features. Time and again, we unveil products that set benchmark in the smartphone category in the industry”.

Whats there for photographers:

The model is designed keeping in mind the interests of selfie enthusiasts with an 8MP front camera and an LED Flash. It has a sleek metal body and a fingerprint sensor at the rear. Speaking for the camera lovers, the front camera is 13MP auto-focus rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Both cameras have LED flash.

Coolpad has a reputation of supporting good camera features on all their devices. I did take a few selfies with both front and back camera. But I was not satisfied with the results. May be this was because of using it in a hurry as more people were waiting to get a hands on feel.

We were able to experience the device for a very short time during the event, hence I cannot talk much about its performance in depth. Still, we feel that its going to turn out a successful device for the company. I will talk about rest of its performance when I analyse the device (When it is sent to us)

But still if you want to know our initial judgment, we feel that the Note 5 Lite should have been supported with a higher power battery and also the lens and chipset could have been better, but this might have increased the cost.

This is our initial feeling which is based on a very short experience. We might be wrong, so we request our viewers to wait till we give you a complete experience once we have a complete experience.
